These Bang Bang Chicken Sliders combine crispy chicken, creamy bang bang sauce, and toasted slider buns for a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner idea.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into small pieces)
  • Slider buns (brioche or Hawaiian rolls recommended)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 23 tablespoons vegetable oil or avocado oil
  • Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, pickles, or coleslaw

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey. Adjust sriracha to taste. Set aside.
  2. Season the Chicken: Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Toss with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Set Up Breading Station: Beat eggs in one bowl and place breadcrumbs in another. Dip each chicken piece into the egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry chicken pieces in batches until golden brown and cooked through (about 3-4 minutes per side). Alternatively, cook in an air fryer at 375Β°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Toast the Slider Buns: Lightly butter the buns and toast them in a skillet or oven until golden and warm.
  6. Assemble the Sliders: Spread bang bang sauce on both sides of each bun. Add crispy chicken pieces and top with shredded lettuce, pickles, or coleslaw as desired.
  7. Serve Immediately: Enjoy while warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

For a healthier option, use an air fryer instead of pan-frying. Toasting the buns adds extra flavor and texture. Customize the spice level of the bang bang sauce by adjusting the sriracha.
