  • 12 ounces pasta (penne, rotini, or farfalle)
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Crumble once cool.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sautΓ© for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and milk, then whisk in the ranch seasoning mix. Let it simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.
  5. Add the shredded cheese and stir until fully melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen it.
  6. Return the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it in the creamy sauce until well coated.
  7. Mix in the cooked chicken and about half of the crumbled bacon. Stir until heated through.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  9. Serve immediately, garnished with the remaining bacon and a sprinkle of parsley, if desired.

Notes

For best results, use freshly shredded cheese for a smoother sauce. Avoid overcooking the pasta, and simmer the sauce gently to prevent separation.
