Golden, crispy Parmesan chicken paired with a velvety garlic cream sauce—perfect for weeknight dinners or dinner parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound them to an even thickness, about ½ inch.
  2. In one bowl, whisk the eggs. In another, combine the grated Parmesan and breadcrumbs.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture. Press gently to adhere the coating.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  6. Sprinkle flour over the garlic and whisk to combine. Slowly pour in heavy cream, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
  7. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour the garlic sauce over the chicken or serve it on the side for dipping.
  8. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the chicken before serving for a burst of color and flavor.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs. To bake instead of frying, cook at 400°F for 20-25 minutes.
