  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tbsp (60 grams) butter, melted
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup (25 grams) grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with Italian bread crumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll out pizza dough on a clean surface to about 1/4-inch thickness. Cut into strips about 3/4-inch wide and 4 inches long.
  4. Place a mozzarella stick at one end of a dough strip and roll tightly, pinching edges to seal.
  5. Dredge each wrapped cheese stick in flour, shake off excess, dip in beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with bread crumb mixture. For extra crunch, repeat egg and bread crumb coating.
  6. Place coated sticks on the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 1 inch apart.
  7. Melt 2 tablespoons butter and brush lightly over the cheese sticks.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy, with melty cheese inside.
  9. While baking, melt remaining 2 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and simmer 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  10. Once baked, brush sticks with garlic butter, sprinkle with Parmesan if desired, and serve warm with garlic butter dip and marinara sauce.
