A quick and easy 5-ingredient dinner featuring creamy, cheesy, smoky chicken filling wrapped in warm tortillas. Perfect for a fuss-free weeknight meal that pleases the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup bacon bits or cooked crispy bacon, crumbled (about 45 strips)
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix or 3 tablespoons homemade blend
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (sharp or mild)
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook chicken for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked and lightly browned.
  3. Lower heat to medium-low and add softened cream cheese; stir gently until melted and creamy.
  4. Stir in bacon bits and ranch seasoning mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and evenly distributed.
  6. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 20-30 seconds until pliable.
  7. Spoon creamy chicken mixture onto each tortilla and add optional toppings like chopped green onions, jalapeños, or lime juice.
  8. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Soften cream cheese before adding to avoid lumps. Use freshly cooked bacon for best flavor. Warm tortillas carefully to prevent breaking. To keep filling warm while assembling, cover skillet and keep on very low heat. For extra creamy sauce, add a splash of milk or cream when melting cheese. Can be made dairy-free with substitutes and gluten-free by using corn tortillas.
