homemade peach lemonade recipe - featured image

A quick and refreshing summer drink combining ripe peaches and zesty lemon juice for a perfectly balanced, smooth, and delicious lemonade.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 medium fresh peaches, washed, pitted, and cut into chunks
  • 45 medium fresh lemons, juiced (about 1 cup or 240 ml lemon juice)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup granulated sugar (or honey/agave as a substitute)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves or a pinch of sea salt for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peaches by washing, pitting, and cutting 2-3 ripe peaches into chunks. Blend in a blender or food processor until smooth and silky.
  2. Juice 4-5 fresh lemons to yield about 1 cup (240 ml) of lemon juice. Strain to remove seeds and excess pulp.
  3. Make simple syrup by combining 1/2 cup granulated sugar with 1/2 cup warm water. Stir until sugar dissolves completely.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the peach puree, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup. Add 3 1/2 cups cold water and stir well.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lemon juice if needed.
  6. Add plenty of ice cubes to the pitcher or serve over ice in glasses. Optionally garnish with fresh mint leaves or thin peach slices.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for best flavor before serving.

Notes

For a pulp-free lemonade, strain the peach puree before mixing. Chilling the lemonade for at least 30 minutes improves flavor. Adjust sugar and lemon juice to taste as lemons vary in tartness. Frozen peaches can be used as a substitute for fresh peaches. Adding sparkling water before serving creates a fizzy variation.
