These Honey Mustard BLT Chicken Sliders combine tender chicken, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and tomato with a sweet and tangy homemade honey mustard sauce for a quick, easy, and flavor-packed meal perfect for weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded or sliced (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked until crispy
  • 8 small slider buns or dinner rolls, lightly toasted
  • Leaf lettuce (green leaf or romaine), washed and patted dry
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced thin
  • Honey Mustard Sauce:
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional extras: pickles, avocado slices, smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat for 8-10 minutes until crispy, flipping occasionally. Drain on paper towels and reserve bacon fat.
  2. If using raw chicken breasts, season with salt and pepper and cook in the bacon fat over medium heat for 5-7 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Let rest, then shred or slice thinly. If using pre-cooked chicken, slice or shred.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  4. Slice slider buns in half and toast lightly in a toaster oven or skillet until golden brown.
  5. Spread honey mustard sauce generously on both top and bottom halves of each bun.
  6. Assemble sliders by layering shredded chicken, crispy bacon, lettuce leaves, and tomato slices on the bottom bun. Add optional extras if desired.
  7. Top with the bun halves and serve immediately for best texture and flavor.

Notes

Do not discard bacon fat; use it to cook chicken for extra flavor. Toast buns to prevent sogginess. Sauce can be made up to two days ahead and stored in the fridge. Keep sliders warm in a low oven (200°F/95°C) for 5-7 minutes if needed. Avoid microwaving assembled sliders to maintain bun texture.
