Tender, flavorful steak bites cooked low and slow in a crockpot with a savory marinade of garlic, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Perfect for an easy, hearty meal with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds beef sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced or crushed
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Trim any excess fat from the beef sirloin or ribeye, then cut into roughly 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, olive oil, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Toss the steak cubes into the marinade, stirring to coat all pieces evenly. Let sit for 15-20 minutes if time allows.
  4. Transfer the steak and all marinade liquid into the crockpot, spreading out evenly.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours, avoiding opening the lid during cooking.
  6. About 30 minutes before serving, taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed. For a thicker sauce, remove the lid and cook on high for the last 30 minutes.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

If your crockpot runs hot, check the steak at 3.5 hours to prevent overcooking. Marinate the steak even briefly to boost flavor. Avoid opening the lid frequently to retain heat and moisture. For a thicker sauce, cook uncovered on high for the last 30 minutes. You can substitute coconut aminos for soy sauce for a gluten-free option. Instant Pot can be used on ‘meat/stew’ setting for 30 minutes with natural pressure release.
