A quick and easy whipped feta honey dip made with just three ingredients: feta cheese, honey, and olive oil. This creamy, tangy, and sweet dip is perfect for snacks, parties, or picnics.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) block-style feta cheese
  • 23 tablespoons (3045 ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) honey
  • Optional: lemon zest
  • Optional: fresh thyme or oregano
  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Cut the block of feta into 1-inch chunks to help it blend easier.
  2. Place the feta chunks into a food processor. Pulse a few times to break it up, then blend continuously for about 30 seconds until creamy but not fully smooth.
  3. With the processor running, slowly drizzle in 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of extra virgin olive oil. Blend for another 30 seconds, scraping down the sides if needed.
  4. Add 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of honey and pulse a few times to mix it in, maintaining the dip’s airy feel. Taste and add more honey or olive oil if desired.
  5. Blend for a final 15 seconds until the mixture is fluffy and smooth.
  6. Spoon the dip into a serving bowl. Drizzle extra honey and olive oil on top and garnish with fresh thyme leaves or cracked black pepper if desired.
  7. If the dip is too thick, add a teaspoon of water or olive oil at a time and blend to loosen. If too runny, add more feta chunks and pulse briefly.

Notes

Use cold feta for better whipping. Use high-quality extra virgin olive oil for best flavor. Pulse rather than overblend to avoid a runny dip. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Bring to room temperature before serving. Can freeze for up to 1 month.
